Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board Statement on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)

At the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (WCADAMHS) Board, we are committed to fostering a community where every individual—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, or lived experience—has equitable access to quality behavioral health care. As the oversight body for community behavioral health providers in Wood County, we advocate for policies and practices that promote inclusion, eliminate disparities, and ensure that services are accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of our community.

We believe that diversity strengthens our system, equity guides our decision-making, inclusion fosters trust, and accessibility ensures that no one is left behind. We actively engage with community members, providers, and stakeholders to create an environment that values and uplifts all voices, especially those historically marginalized or underserved.

Through continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability, we strive to remove barriers and build a behavioral health system where everyone can thrive.
